In 2009, Christian County Baptist Association entered into a three-year partnership with the Piauai Baptist Convention in Brazil. In 2009 there were 21 members from CCBA churches who served in Brazil. Teams have been involved with local congregations doing door-to-door evangelism, Vacation Bible School and nightly revival meetings.
BRAZIL MISSION TEAM REPORT,NOVEMBER 2010
Nine member of Henderson Memorial, First Baptist, and Blue Springs Baptist in Cadiz were on mission in Teresina, Brazil from October 11 - 22. Travel took 2 days each way so we effectively had 8 days to work with Redemption Baptist Church and their congregation. During those 8 days we made 102 home visits with nearly 300 people hearing the Gospel presntations. We preached 4 outdoor services with 160 people in attendance, 3 indoor services with 120 in attendance, 3 school visits, 2 church visits, a VBS, and Gospel tract distribution at a circus, at stoplights, and on the streets ( maybe even at an ice cream parlor!). God allowed us to see many people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Pastor Antonio of Redemption Baptist is following up to ensure each fully understood the decision they made and to encourage them to plug into a Bible study through his church.
Our team wants to thank all who prayed for us, supported us financially, and who made friendship bracelets for us to take. We distributed over 500 of them, first to the children at the schools, and then to their parents who came to the church services. pastor Antonio said the bracelets paved the way for our teams to enter the homes to share Christ. He wanted to encourage each future team to bring as many as they coulld as he thought they were the best ice-breakers he has ever seen.
